This is Very Similar in Appearance to the 7078, Except This Unit is Internally Regulated. The 7716 Replaces the 40-65A OEM Units. Pulleys Vary. Clock Positions Are Either 10:00 or 2:00 (See 7716-2). If the 75A Version is Needed, Use 7735-2 or 7735-10. Do NOT Install a Replacement Alternator Without First Carefully Checking, and Replacing if Necessary, the Rectifier (B-B-S) Plug, as the Contacts May Have Opened Up With Removing and Re-fitting the Plug, or Simply With Age. A Significant Heat Build-up Can Occur at this Connection, and Can Cause Early Failure, and Possibly Even a Fire.
